Myanmar's Aung San Suu Kyi to challenge for second term
• Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi on August 4, 2020 formally announced that she is going to be seeking a second term within the elections that are due in November 2020. Suu Kyi took over the reins in 2016 following a landslide victory within the 2015 Elections. Her party, National League for Democracy (NLD) had won 86 percent of the seats within the Myanmar assembly.
