The CLAT 2021 exam for UG courses contains questions from five subjects including English , Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Current Affairs including public knowledge and Quantitative Techniques. CLAT Syllabus for English 

In this section, proficiency in English is tested on the idea of questions associated with comprehension passages and grammar. within the comprehension section, candidates are evaluated on the idea of their understanding of the passage, the central theme, meanings of words utilized in the passage etc. The grammar section requires correction of incorrect grammatical sentences, filling of blanks in sentences with appropriate words, etc.

There will be passages of 450 words supported the contemporary, historically significant fiction and non-fiction writing

The passages will consume five to seven minutes to read and comprehend. Candidates need to compare and contrast different viewpoints, prolong inferences and conclusions and also understand the meaning of words and phrases from the passage to aim the questions. 

Questions during this section are going to be of sophistication 12 difficulty level

CLAT Syllabus for Currents Affairs including public knowledge 

In this section, candidates are evaluated supported their awareness about various aspects of static public knowledge and Current Affairs. For public knowledge , candidates should remember about subjects like Arts & Culture and History. Current affair questions test a candidate’s knowledge about the events happening nationally also as internationally. to organize for this section, candidates are advised to be up-to-date with news and other topics discussed in mainstream media within the last one year.

This section also will carry passages of around 450 words and can be supported news, journalistic sources and other non-fiction writings

The passages will carry legal information and knowledge 

CLAT Syllabus for Quantitative Techniques

The section will carry passages supported short sets of facts, propositions, graphs, pictorials, textuals or diagrammatic representation of numerical data. Candidates need to attempt the objective-type questions by calculating the given information within the short sets. The candidates need to derive, infer and manipulate the numerical data which can be supported ratios and proportions, basic algebra, mensuration, and statistics.

This section will contain short sets instead of complete passages

Questions during this section are going to be of sophistication 10 difficulty level 

CLAT Syllabus for Legal Reasoning

Questions during this section are going to be supported the legal matters, public policy questions or moral philosophical enquiries.
