SSC CGL Exam Pattern

SSC CGL is a web standardized test that follows a particular procedure and is split into four stages/levels: Tier-1, Tier-2, Tier-3 & Tier-4.     Tier – I of the SSC CGL exam will contain objective type questions from four sections that test you on four different parameters. there'll be altogether 100 questions worth 200 marks with a composite time duration of an hour.

    There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks on each incorrect answer.

    There will not be any sectional cut-off within the exam.

    The Tier-I exam is going to be bilingual (Hindi & English). The candidates can select their medium accordingly.

    SSC CGL Tier-II exam also will get on an equivalent pattern containing four sections comprising of 100 questions in each of the four sections having 200 marks for every section and doesn't have a composite timing but individual time is allotted to every section.

    The Tier-II exam also will be bilingual (Hindi & English). The candidates can select their medium accordingly.

    Paper-I & II are compulsory for all the categories of posts.

    Paper-III is merely for those candidates who apply for the post of Statistical Investigator Gr.II & Compiler.

    Paper IV is merely for those candidates who apply for the post of Assistant Audit Officer.

    The marks obtained by the candidates in both Tiers I & Tier II would determine their eligibility to seem in Tier III & Tier IV.

    SSC CGL Tier- III Exam Pattern

    The SSC CGL Tier – III exam is held during a different mode than the opposite two tiers. Tier-III of SSC CGL is going to be a descriptive test. The paper is going to be bilingual (English/Hindi) and can constitute of 100 marks with a time duration of an hour.

    SSC CGL Tier- IV Exam Pattern ( Wherever Applicable)

    SSC CGL Tier- IV may be a Data Entry Skill Test / Computer Proficiency Test. This stage was added in 2016 counting on the varied positions applied by the candidates. it'll be conducted in two steps: DEST Test & CPT Test.
